Document recognition
When you upload a PDF or image, it is sent over HTTPS to the LetterSorted server and then to the configured Azure Document Intelligence resource in UK South. LetterSorted processes the file in memory and does not intentionally save the original document to application storage. LetterSorted requests early deletion of the Azure analysis result after retrieving it; Microsoft's normal temporary retention may still apply if that request fails.
Multilingual analysis and drafting
When you select a connected multilingual feature, the relevant extracted document text and drafting instructions are sent securely to the configured OpenAI service for that request. LetterSorted requests that these API responses are not stored by the model provider. English browser-based classification does not send pasted text to that service.
Payments and email delivery
Stripe processes payment and checkout contact details. LetterSorted receives the payment status, order reference and checkout email needed to unlock or deliver the purchased response. If email delivery is selected, the completed response and delivery address are sent to the configured transactional email provider solely to deliver that order.
Storage
The app uses browser storage to remember language preferences and retain a pending response while you visit Stripe Checkout. LetterSorted does not sell document content or use it for advertising. Hosting, security, payment and email providers may keep operational records under their own retention policies.
Your choices and rights
Remove unnecessary personal information before uploading. You can paste wording or use a TXT file instead of uploading the original. UK data-protection rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection, depending on the processing involved.
